Been there keeps the old ones
Finished trips drop into a list underneath with their dates. Snowdonia in July is still there when you want to remember when you went.

The packing belongs to the trip
That two of nine comes from this trip’s own list. In November you will not be scrolling past an adapter you needed in October.
Open a trip and you get the gallery, the priced itinerary and the packing list together. The trips page goes through that in full.

Can I switch Trip Planning off?
Yes. The library in Settings has a switch beside Trip Planning, and turning it off takes it out of the sidebar, the search and the Today screen. The other 26 switchable modules work the same way.
Does Trip Planning sync between the Mac and the iPhone?
Yes, once iCloud sync is unlocked for $14.99, paid once and covering the Mac and the iPhone together. Until then Trip Planning keeps its data on the device you typed it into, and it goes nowhere else.
